DO NOT DENY THE WORD OF GOD
By Justin N. Citro
"Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."
Hebrews 11:3
Denial of the Word of God is an act that any God-fearing Christian should never do, for the word of the Lord is for doctrine and reproof (2 Timothy 3:16). So, if we now know that the Word of God is for teaching and reproof why must we question its sovereignty? The simple answer to this is that we are human, not God, and we as mortal man have the tendency to question every little thing around us. However, sometimes asking too many questions can start to lead to doubt, and then doubt leads to denial, and that is what we must avoid when it comes to the Word of God. The Word of God is a light to our path that our feet walk upon. We trust the Bible when we are in times of crisis, but we should also look to the Word when we are not in trouble. The Bible is filled with lessons to combat every little thing this world can throw at us. So, then this question arises, why must we still question and deny the Bible? The answer to that is not at all surprising to the Bible-believing Christian. Here is that answer: The reason people deny the Bible is that they don't know the Bible so can you trust something if you have been led to believe that it is fake? Now let us go into the word and see what it says about trusting the word of God. The Bible says in Hebrews 11:3 KJV, "Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." What this verse is explaining is that through our faith we understand that by the word of the Lord, the world was brought forth. We can take faith that the Word of God is still standing today! The hope I leave you with today is that the Word of God is still relevant, still comforts, and is a manual for instruction as well as guidance and discipline. The Word of God stands forever! Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for giving me Your Word that I might know You in a deeper way. Continue to help me obey Your commands and live as You would have me to live. Father, please help me to uphold Your Word and to always recognize Your Word as being sacred, necessary to apply to every aspect in my life. Give me the wisdom to help me apply all the knowledge You give me to my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
