GOVERNMENTAL CORRUPTION
20 Days of Prayer Day 12

"I tell you this, brothers:
flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God,
nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable."
1 Corinthians 15:50
In today's world, corruption seems to be the new normal for some, but for God's people we see it as a tool used by the enemy. Corruption is unfortunately something that is in the world today with it's main purpose to undermine the just and the righteous. Let's dive into scripture to break down corruption and how we can have victory over it.
The Bible says, in 1 Corinthians 15:50, "I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable." Let us break down this verse in more detail. The first part explains that our human flesh cannot not inherit the kingdom of God for we are merely mortal humans. The last part explains that perishable items cannot inherit the imperishable. When broken down, this simply means that perishable cannot inherit items that do not perish. Things that are corrupt cannot not inherit the just for, how can darkness take on the image of light? The answer to this is simple: evil cannot take over good unless the evil consumes the good.
So how do we have the total victory in this? The answer is simple, and the Bible is clear in Deuteronomy 20:4 that God trumps over our enemies to give us the victory no matter what the situation is. The Lord always wins! The final point that I would like to make is the importance of praying for government officials as they are most susceptible to corruption by the agents of the devil. Now we should be in constant prayer for these officials and we must pray for victory that the Lord will give us!
Prayer: Dear Lord, we come before You thanking You for the victory You have given us over corruption. Thank You, Father, that the the complete victory in everything. In Jesus' name, Amen!
