THE BIBLE IS GOD-BREATHED
2 Timothy 3:16 AMP
All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honourably with personal integrity and moral courage];
The bible consists of words that are God breathed therefore it is an unquestionable standard blueprint for every believer. It is the book that will empower you by its instructions and corrections to produce a life of Godliness. You cannot be conforming your life to the word of God and live a strayed life, that is just not possible. However, it is very important to apply the word of God contextually not emotionally. This is the main challenge we find today in the body of Christ. Everyone has a scripture to defend the cause but if it not in context it is of no effect.
Proverbs 3: 1-2 TPT My child, if you truly want a long and satisfying life, never forget the things that I’ve taught you. Follow closely every truth that I’ve given you. Then you will have a full, rewarding life.
The word of God is so clear and instructive to us. The Holy Spirit is so ever ready to help us implement this word of God into every area of our lives, we have been given the word to build us up into what God has called us to be. The ultimate reward in this lifetime is to be exactly what God has destined us to be. The solutions from what we face in this world in this lifetime is found in the word of God (FOR ALL OF OUR PROBLEMS) Personally I don’t do the word of God because I feel like doing it every time, but the Spirit of God once had me pinned down to this word until I got it : John 15 – 15-16 KJV If ye love me, keep my commandments. The revelation that I got from that session with the Holy Spirit is that we don’t have to be telling everyone around that we love Jesus, but by virtue of us doing the word of God , we give a public and private display of the love we have for our Lord.
Hebrews 4: 12 – 13 MSG
God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defences, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one can resist God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what.
Even Satan is subjected by the word of God and this he knows very well. He knows his days are numbered and his end is inevitable through the word of God as it is written. He quoted the word of God a couple of times to our Lord but with Him, he was out of context and this is why we as believers should always make sure we are in context. How much more should we then be convinced of the word of God as God’s children. We are the products of the word, the word made us hence it is mandatory that we live by it. The bible says that it is the entrance of the word of God that gives us light, it does not just cut but also penetrates us if we will let it. We will never become what God wants us to be if we resist the word of God.
1 John 2: 4-5 AMP
Whoever says, “I have come to know Him,” but does not habitually keep [focused on His precepts and obey] His commandments (teachings), is a liar, and the truth [of the divine word] is not in him. But whoever habitually keeps His word and obeys His precepts [and treasures His message in its entirety], in him the love of God has truly been perfected [it is completed and has reached maturity]. By this we know [for certain] that we are in Him
When we reject the word in a particular area of our lives, we are rejecting God in that area and therefore cannot expect Godly results in that area. The word has not come to make us feel good only but also to prune us to be the best version of ourselves. The word does not bow to our feelings and reasoning instead our feelings and reasoning should bow to the word of God.
