The blessing of the Lord brings [true] riches, And He adds no sorrow to it [for it comes as a blessing from God].

God's Blessing sometimes can look like you are losing if you have not discerned it properly. Firstly God will not bless a mess so at times we are demanding a blessing from God yet we have not fully embraced God. To fully embrace God means that you have let God be in every area of your life. To let God be means you are allowing His word to take residence in every aspect of your life. Sometimes we hold on to things that make sense to us and yet these things in the end do not cause godliness to surface in our lives. This means that when we ask for God to bless us we should be prepared to let God show us what needs to be changed in order for Him to bless us. God's Blessing adds no sorrow it brings true riches and not temporal riches.
So sometimes it's important to take stock of what is happening in our lives and look at what has come in and the results of that. If it is accompanied by sorrow then it could mean that it did not come from God for God's blessing certainly adds no sorrow. Sometimes the traps of satan look like God's blessing. You are the gatekeeper of your life, everything going in and coming out of your life should be interrogated spiritually.
And no wonder, since Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
2 Corinthians 11:14 AMP to masquerade means to pretend you are that which you are not. Whatever comes through the hands of satan will never be a blessing. God's Blessing comes with peace and prosperity. Wait no matter how long you have to wait for it, it is worth it because its effect is eternal. This is why in pursuing the blessing of God the fruits of the Spirit are cultivated and developed in us.
