THE SALVATION PROCESS.

VOICE OF HOPE

13 June 2022

Salvation is the story of the ultimate sacrificial love from God to humanity. Jesus Christ rescued us from the power of sin. It is the ingredient that qualifies us for heavenly varieties. This is the ultimate expression of God’s love to humanity that He gave us His best in His son that He may die and rise again that we may live a blameless life and win our lives into the destinies that God has called us into. Salvation is simplified when we keep our gaze on the Savior than the ones being saved. Once you look at it from this vantage point everything begins to make sense, and everything becomes about our Lord Jesus and what He has done for us. This approach enables us to live a life of gratefulness and complete surrender to Him.

Romans 10:9-10 KJV That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

Salvation is by believing in your heart by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, also by confessing that indeed He is your Lord and Savior and repenting of your sins. The most important thing for you to know about salvation is that it is between you and the Lord, who is your Savior. One does not need to be in the midst of people or in a church environment for example to get born again. This means that as you are reading this and are not born again you can freely believe in your heart unto righteousness and confess with your mouth that He is Lord of all that has to do with you henceforth and you will be born again. Confession is a very critical ingredient of salvation. Matthew 10:32 KJV says that Whosoever, therefore, shall confess me before men, he will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. This is the aspect that silences the enemy where you are concerned, for he will always come for you to test your faith but your words of confession of who you are and who you are becoming, and who you will surely be will always send him packing.

Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.

We are all saved by grace, no one had to work hard in order for them to be born again. It is a gift God has given to the world. Imagine that any gift you have ever received from an earthly man, you did not have to beg, ask or manipulate anything in order for you to receive it. Man out of their own free will give gifts to each other because they have decided to do so. A gift by virtue of it being a gift always comes as a surprise probably because you do not feel deserving of it because you didn’t have to work for it. This is the same with salvation.

Salvation is often categorized into three aspects:

1. Justification – past – are saved, which is covered in detail above.

2. Sanctification – present - being saved, which I would like to submit to you that we play our biggest role as the children of God. This is the process of dying to self and living in and to Christ. It is usually met with a lot of resistance because here the flesh is at war with your spirit man. Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions and to lo live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age.

3. Glorification – future - will be saved, this is the future state of all believers where we receive the resurrected bodies. Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.1 Peter 1:5 KJV

Prayer of salvation:

If you have not received Christ as your Lord and Savior, you may say this prayer believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth and you will be born again.

Father, I believe that Jesus Christ is your son, He died on the cross for my sins and was risen on the third day as my Saviour. Forgive me of my sins, I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Christ Jesus is my Lord and Saviour, come into my heart. I receive eternal life into my spirit and I declare that the power of sin, Satan, and hell is broken over my life, I declare that I am a child of God. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for revealing Christ to me, and thank you Father for saving me in Jesus’ name.
